Reindeer skins are suitable for light traffic only, eg bedroom or as a wall decoration. They come from Finland and are an excellent addition to modern decor. The blends of colours vary depending on the season and age of the animal each skin will be individual. They look excellent on wooden or ceramic floors. Reindeer fur is made up of hollow hairs which give thermal insulation. Some shedding should be expected from these skins.

Sheepskin rugs take their place anywhere in any home. They are timeless, with a rich deep beauty one can only feel to fully appreciate. That is why children love our Rocking Sheep, it is the sensory awareness provided by the incredible tactile experience.

Our rugs have been photographed on the flagstone floors of our stone cottage in Somerset, but they are equally at home against modern wood flooring or over traditional carpets.

Using Sheepskin

Use short wool rugs in passageways etc, and long wool rugs where foot traffic is less frequent. If the wool becomes matted it may be brushed up with a steel comb or pet wire brush.

Wool has the natural ability to "Bounce Back". A vigorous shake will restore the original appearance of the wool if it has been flattened during travelling, or while being sent to you.
